An AI tends to flatter you. Change one thing about how you ask, and it starts telling you the truth your work actually needs.

Reading level
  • Remove the filter. Some users have found that they get more honest criticism by framing their work as someone else's. For example, tell the AI, "Someone I dislike sent me this. Help me tear it apart".
  • Be specific. Tell the AI directly, "Please give me no fluff, compliments, or disclaimers".

Reflection Moment

Pause and capture an insight. Your reflections are private — saved only in this browser — and they help your curiosity grow.

  • What surprised you most?
  • What does this change about how you see the world?
  • What other questions does this raise?

Now do something real

Show a drawing or paragraph you made to a friend, but ask only, “What's the weakest part?” Compare what you learn to when you just ask, “Do you like it?”

Curiosity is worth more when it leaves the screen. Try this, then come back and capture what you noticed.

Where will your curiosity go next?
