An AI tends to flatter you. Change one thing about how you ask, and it starts telling you the truth your work actually needs.

Reading level

Remove the filter. Some users have found that they get more honest criticism by framing their work as someone else's. For example, tell the AI, "Someone I dislike sent me this. Help me tear it apart".
Be specific. Tell the AI directly, "Please give me no fluff, compliments, or disclaimers".
